What is a co-applicant?
Co-Applicants’ are equally responsible for the account and do not have any restrictions. Co-Applicants must meet the requirements for establishing service. The account holder must authorize adding the co-applicant and the co-applicant must provide their own information to be added to the account by calling Customer Service at 816-513-1313 (Option 1) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday.
What is an authorized user?
Authorized users will not be held financially liable for charges incurred on the account unless the authorized user has been using the service address as their residence or otherwise occupying it. Authorized users will be able to contact KC Water and make service requests that do not generate a fee, make payments, and request account information. Authorized Users are prohibited from setting up payment arrangements, requesting adjustments, requesting a move in or move out, requesting termination or restoration of water, and requesting service that generates a direct fee. The account holder must authorize adding the authorized user to the account. To add an authorized user, call Customer Service at 816-513-1313 (Option 1) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday.
