(Kansas City, Mo.) – On September 20th, KC Water was honored by the Greater Kansas City Public Relations Society of America at its annual PRISM Awards Gala.
KC Water won a PRISM Award in the video category for Don’t Flush the Wipes: A Horror Story.
The one minute video creatively encourages customers to throw wipes away instead of flushing them. Because many wipes don’t break down after flushing, they clog sewer lines causing problems for homeowners and the city.
KC Water also won a PRISM Award in the events and observances category for its 2017 Imagine a Day Without Water campaign. KC Water talked with brewers, barbecue enthusiasts, coffee shop owners, and others about what would happen if there was no water for a day. All of them would have to close their doors.
Imagine a Day Without Water is an annual day of awareness and will take place Wednesday, October 10th, 2018. KC Water will again be participating.
The PRISM Awards Gala is held annually to recognize and award the area’s public relations and communication professionals by showcasing their outstanding campaigns and tactics. More information about the PRISM Awards can be found HERE.
