Customers Advised About Wastewater Overflow Near 10232 Wornall Rd.

Posted on August 23, 2017

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 10232 Wornall Road on Tuesday, August 22nd at 2:30 p.m. The overflow was the result of damage done to a 10-inch sewer main during heavy flooding. The overflow ended at 8:08 p.m. the same day and resulted in an overflow of 16,500 gallons. Some of that overflow reached Indian Creek but was heavily diluted by the amount of rushing water. Repair crews implemented bypass pumping which will remain in place until all repairs are completed.
