(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 10025 Flora Ave. on Friday, August 11th at 5:30 p.m. The overflow was the result of a collapsed 8-inch sewer. The overflow ended at 6:15 p.m. the same day and resulted in an overflow of 450 gallons, some of which reached the Blue River.
Cleaning crews opened the blocked sewer line to restore flow to the system and repair crews made needed repairs to the sewer line. Warning signs were posted along the affected section of the Blue River.
