(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow at 4351 Blue Parkway on Monday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. It ended on Wednesday, October 10th at 9:00 a.m. The overflow was the result of an unknown utility company boring through a 33” sewer main. Some of the spilled wastewater entered a catch basin leading to Brush Creek during a heavy rain event so it is highly diluted.
An investigation team is performing a condition check of the main to determine the extent of the damage of the main. They will also work to locate the company responsible for the boring.
