(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 11101 N. Congress Ave. on Wednesday, April 12 just after 3:50 p.m. The overflow was the result of a failed sewer repair. The overflow ended at 9:15 p.m. the same day and resulted in 1,625 gallons of wastewater being discharged into Second Creek.
A repair crew responded and reconnected the 18” sewer main. They also implemented bypass pumping from the creek back into the collection system.
